S&W Diesel is located at 336 Lakme Ave. Wilmington, CA 90744 right in the heart of the L.A. harbor. We are 2 blocks East of Avalon and in between "C" & "D" streets. We are a full service diesel engine shop and an authorized warranty station for Perkins, Yanmar, Isuzu and John Deere Marine. Let us overhaul your engine or troubleshoot a difficult problem for you. Bronze cover for the top of innercooler for MGT Perkins engine, includes Perkins serial number TE22364. The "breadbox" innercooler by Perkins was used on MGT engines from approximately 1972 thru 1979. To replace the cast iron covers that Perkins orignally had on the innercoolers. The bronze covers keep the tubestack/core clean and doesn't corrode from the salt water as did the cast iron covers. This custom part replaces Perkins part number 24865048.

Perkins Engine ID Number
Know your Perkins engine number and where to find it.
It is important to determine the actual serial number of your engine. It will tell us where the engine was built and in what year, it's horsepower rating and the specific parts used in building your engine. The number usually starts with 2 letters followed by 5 numbers, 1 letter, 6 numbers and 1 more letter, such as PJ12345U654321N. Typically 4.108 and 6.354 engines have serial numbers stamped in the casting where the injection pump is mounted. The 4.236 and 4.248 engines usually have their numbers stamped into an area of the block behind the injection pump. The 3.152 and 4.203 series are often found stamped in at the rear of the block above the bell housing.
